10 month anniversary

My wonderful husband brought these for me for our 10 month anniversary. Isn't he the sweetest?

Two new parks we visited

This is Whatcom Falls, a beautiful park that we went to late in the afternoon last Friday. We didn't have near enough time to look around. There were trails and swimming holes everywhere. There are also tennis courts somewhere but the park is so huge that we didn't have time to find them.
This is on the brigde that the falls go under.

I just LOVE you!

This picture is from Hovander Park in Ferndale, about 15 minutes for our house. I only had to work a half day today so I did a little shopping and I found a picnic basket at Target on sale so that inspired me to pack a picnic and surprise Steve when he got home. I had been to this park once before but Steve had never been and it was such a neat park.

This was dessert, and it was delicious. An Andis Mint chocolate cupcake for Safeway......yum.

Our new picnic basket worked great.

Having chicken alfredo, watermelon, baked potato salad, cherries, and chips with dip.

There were gardens everywhere. This is the Hovander House, which people can tour during the day. The gardens were really nice but our camera's battery died so we couldn't take very many pictures which was disappointing but the gardens were cool. They had every kind of vegetable growing there too. They donate the food to a local food bank.

There were all kinds of animals there too, kind of a petting zoo. This is one of the bunnies and it looked so funny. He grew his own pillow:)

K3 visa party

Steve received his K3 visa on June 3rd! This was a very happy day for us as you can imagine. We had only been waiting for about 8 months for this. Now Steve doesn't have to worry and get nervous everytime for crosses the border, and we can be like a normal (well mostly normal) couple and sleep in our own bed EVERY night. No more living out of a suitcase! Since this was such an awesome occasion we thought it was a good idea to have an awesome party. We invited a while bunch of people, had some sloppy joes and grilled chicken, had some tasty drinks and played some volleyball. The weather was beautiful and sunny and we are so thankful that we have such wonderful family and friends to celebrate with.

Gretchen is such a sweetheart

Piper is actually sleeping but it looks like she faking. She's a sweetie too.

The guys are playing some cards.

The kids were so occupied with the legos, lincoln logs, and potato heads. We the legos and lincoln logs from garage sales a couple weeks ago.

Spring is Here!!

Here we are sitting in our back yard on April 6. We did end up going back inside because we started getting a little cold since it was getting late. Our lawn has been mowed twice and our bulbs are up. We've got seeds planted inside and have been enjoying drives in the convertible with the roof down. What a wonderful thing Spring is.
Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. Acts 14:17

Weekend in Oregon

Last weekend we spent a few days traveling around Oregon. The first night we went to Portland, stayed at hotel and spent the evening swimming in the pool.
Outside our hotel on Friday morning. We were ready to begin the day traveling around and looking at waterfalls.

This is the Vista House and the Columbia Gorge in the backround. I wish it had been a warmer and clearer but I hardly rained so that was really nice.

Steve showed me how to take pamorama pictures with my camera. They turn out great. The camera sews the three pictures together and thy turn out like this.

Latourell Falls was amazing. I have never been so clase to a waterfall before. We could have walked right into it but we didn't...it was pretty cold.

Multnomah Falls.

Seaside beach was COLD. It was a little rainy too and windy so Steve set up the tripod , took a couple pictures and we got out of there. We spent a little time looking around the shops in Seaside and then headed over to Astoria.

No caption needed:)

My new hair color.

This was in Astoria. It's called the Column but I can't remember why it's there. Normally people can walk up to the top but the stairs were closed because they were fixing them.
